Albanese Confectionery Group, Inc. started, like many small entrepreneurial companies do, with mom, dad, grandma and grandpa opening a small candy store, in the recession of 1983 in Merrillville, Ind. Now, 28 years later, led by Scott and Debbie Albanese, this family-owned and operated business is famous for manufacturing the World’s Best Gummies and employs close to 300 people. The family-owned business sees a bright future of continued growth and job opportunities for the Northwest Indiana community.
