Soccer ball shaped like a Peanut M&M's.Hackettstown, NJ — Mars Chocolate North America invites consumers to enter to win the M&M’s brand M-Ball, a bright yellow soccer ball shaped to resemble a Peanut M&M’s chocolate candy, the company reports.

As part of Mars’ year-long integrated marketing campaign, “The Year of the Peanut,” fans can visit participating retailers’ “Win an M-Ball” displays and use their smartphone to scan the instant-win snap-tag, or they can enter on the M&M’s USA Facebook page, facebook.com/mms.

According to Mars, although the M-Ball can be passed, thrown and kicked, its ovoid shape produces an unpredictable trajectory.

Senior Director, M&M’s Brand Chocolate Candies Seth Klugherz notes: “The special qualities for M-Ball make it one of a kind, which is a great reflection of our brand, since only one in 100 peanuts is lucky enough to be an M&M’s Peanut.” The campaign debuted with a peanut drop in Atlanta on New Year’s Eve 2013, inspired an online video series starring David Koercher as an explorer questing for the perfect peanut, as well as a Super Bowl XLVIII spot.
