Phoenix — Consumer Reports has named Boulder Canyon Foods’ Hummus Chips with Sesame Seeds to its ShopSmart list of “Best Products of the Year,” Inventure Foods, Inc. reports
Selected for its flavor and better-for-you ingredients by independent researchers at the Consumers Union, which publishes the magazine, the chips were the only such product named to the list, according to the company.
Inventure Senior Vice-President and General Manager Steve Sklar says: “Inclusion in a list such as this provides great validation for the Boulder Canyon family of snacks, and it certainly helps that it comes from the trusted team at Consumer Reports.”
Made from chickpeas, the seasoned chips contain one gram of saturated fat, no cholesterol and zero trans fats. They are low in sodium, gluten-free certified, kosher certified and contain no GMOs, the company claims.
Each five-ounce bag carries a $3.49 to $3.99 SRP; they ship in 12-ct cases.
