Battle Creek, MI — Kellogg Co. President and CEO John A. Bryant will succeed James M. Jenness as chairman of the board of directors, effective July 1, the company reports.
Jenness, a 40-year veteran and former CEO of Kellogg, will remain on the board as a non-executive director. He was elected to the board in 2000.
Of his successor, Jenness says: “John has a deep understanding of all aspects of Kellogg’s business and a clear vision of how we will deliver on our strategy and grow our business around the world.”
A member of the board since 2010, Bryant was promoted to president and CEO in 2011 after serving as chief financial officer, president of Kellogg North America, president of Kellogg International, and chief operating officer. He joined the company in 1998.
He also is a member of the boards of directors of Catalyst, The Consumer Goods Forum, the Food Marketing Institute and the Grocery Manufacturers Association.
