Cleveland — The National Confectionery Sales Association (NCSA) will hold its 115th annual Candy Hall of Fame weekend Friday, October 17 to 20, in Tampa, FL. Ten inductees representing the manufacturing, sales and ingredients and machinery supplier fields will be honored at the black-tie banquet on Saturday, October 18, which will highlight the inductees’ lives and career accomplishments along with speeches from the honorees.
Inductees are Joe Conti, First Source, LLC; Charles Dodson, A.M. Todd, a division of Wild Flavors, Inc.; Joseph Donnelly, Trend Sales Inc.; Brian Gold, Sultana Distribution Services; Dan Gray, E.A. Berg Services; Randy Hofberger, R & D Candy Consultants; John Holland, Sollich North America, LLC; Robert Huzinec, The Hershey Co.; Steve Martinez, The Performance Group; and Stuart Selarnick, Frankford Candy, LLC.
In addition to the 10 inductees, two industry leaders will be inducted: Daniel Peter, of Peter's Chocolates, who was a pioneer in milk chocolate, and Otto Schnering, a founder of Curtiss Candy Co.
The weekend begins with a cocktail reception in the courtyard of the Tampa Renaissance Hotel International Plaza and will include the announcement of the 2014 NCSA scholarship winners and raffle. On Saturday morning, the Annual General Meeting will be held, and plans include a silent auction with the proceeds benefiting the NCSA’s scholarship program.
