Decatur, IL — Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM) has appointed Ian Pinner president of global cocoa and Scott Walker vice-president of oilseeds portfolio optimization.
Pinner will oversee the company’s cocoa press operations, while Walker will lead the sale of its chocolate business.
Previously, Pinner was vice-president of corporate strategic and financial planning and president of ADM’s grain group. He also has served as general manager, European softseeds; managing director of ADM’s milling and Pura operations and general manager for its oilseed crushing and refining business in the UK and energy manager in the European office. Before joining the company in 1999, Pinner was a senior wheat trader with S.C. Banks plc.
Formerly president of ADM’s cocoa business, Walker has been a part of the company since 1993. He previously was vice-president, managing director and commercial director of ADM Cocoa International, commercial director of ADM Cocoa South America and a merchandiser in the company’s oilseeds and cocoa enterprises.
