Phoenix — Sweet Onion and Sweet Onion Barbecue Vidalia Kettle Potato Chips are joining Inventure Foods, Inc.’s licensed Vidalia Brands Inc. line.
Seasoned with a spice made from real Vidalia onions, the sweet-savory chips are cooked in safflower and sunflower oils and are 30 percent lower in saturated fat than traditional potato chips, the company claims. The gluten-free snack contains 150 calories per serving with no trans fats.
Launched to coincide with the onion harvest, the chips are merchandised alongside Vidalias in the produce section.
