Cleveland — Registration has opened for the 115th Annual Meeting of the National Confectionery Sales Association (NCSA) held October 17 to 19 in Tampa, FL, the association reports.
Held at the Renaissance Tampa Hotel, the event includes a welcome reception, annual members’ meeting, NCSA scholarship awards, silent auction and after-hours party, and culminates in the 43rd Candy Hall of Fame induction ceremony and banquet on Saturday, October 18. Ten industry veterans, nominated by their peers, will be recognized for their contributions to the candy industry and communities.
Representing all facets of confectionery, the 2014 inductees are Joe Conti, First Source, LLC; Charles Dodson, A.M. Todd, a division of Wild Flavors, Inc.; Joseph Donnelly, Trend Sales Inc.; Brian Gold, Sultana Distribution Services Inc.; Dan Gray, E.A. Berg Associates; Randy Hofberger, R & D Candy Consultants, LLC; John Holland, Sollich North America, LLC; Robert J. Huzinec, The Hershey Co.; Steve Martinez, The Performance Group and Stuart Selarnick, Frankford Candy, LLC.
Industry pioneers Daniel Peter, of Peter's Chocolates, and Curtiss Candy Co. founder Otto Schnering will be inducted posthumously.
