Rockleigh, NJ — Chef Stefan Strehler has been named Culinary Specialist for Takasago Americas.
He will be responsible for supporting the company’s flavor team and global clients through development of recipes that are enhanced with Takasago products.
In addition to being a certified Swiss chef, Strehler has more than 15 years in R&D for the flavor industry, making him ideally suited to understanding manufacturers’ products, capabilities and processing challenges, according to Brain Buck, senior vice-president and general manager of Takasago Americas.
Previously Strehler served as senior development chef for Givaudan SA, developing and executing many customer-specific presentations and projects featuring innovative food and beverage concepts. He also helped develop savory product lines and collaborated with colleagues on the sweet goods and snack flavor teams.
In addition, Strehler has experience working in chocolate and bakery product markets.
“We expect that Chef Strehler will be a pivotal figure working from Takasago’s Culinary Center, enjoying an atmosphere that resembles the spacious working place of a premier chef,” Buck says. “It’s all coming together at Takasago to make breakthrough food and beverage flavors.”
