New York — Mohamed Elsarky is the new CEO of Godiva Chocolatier, Inc., succeeding Jim Goldman, who retired in early 2014, according to parent company Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS.
Elsarky, president of Godiva’s international operations since 2010, has overseen its retail, wholesale, c-store, grocery and travel markets in 80 countries in Asia and Europe. He joined Godiva from Lion Capital LLP, where he was operating partner. His experience in food manufacturing and the consumer sector was gained as managing director, Northern Europe for United Biscuits Finance Plc; CEO of The Jacobs Bakery Ltd. with the Danone Group; and CEO and chairman of Kellogg Australia and New Zealand.
He holds a B.A. in economics from the Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.
