Cannes, France — Mars Inc. has earned 11 awards for innovative communications at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, including five for confectionery advertising campaigns.
Since 1990, it has received more than 100 Cannes Lions awards in all categories. Mars Chief Marketing Officer Bruce McColl said: “As a company we believe in the power of creativity and it’s great that the campaigns that represent our global portfolio of favorite brands have been rewarded again in this way.

The company took the silver award in radio advertising for the M&M’s “Argument” spot developed by Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, Australia; it also earned bronze in the film category for BBDO Chicago’s “Smile” and “Cloud” ads for Skittles.
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne’s “Aussie Builders” ad for Snickers won bronze in the media lions field, while BBDO New York’s Snickers spot, “Bear,” took home the bronze in the press lions category.
