Snack Maker Files For Bankruptcy, Seeks Buyer

Bristol, VA — Maker of organic, natural and baked snacks Prime Choice Foods, Inc. has filed for Chapter 11 protection and is seeking a buyer, partner or investor to provide working capital to support growth, according to the company.

“We are actively pursuing options that will allow our company to not only continue operating, but to emerge from bankruptcy properly capitalized and well-positioned to continue serving customers and working with our vendors,” Jose Gomez, Prime Choice Foods president says.

Prime Choice has two production operations with organic , kosher, gluten-free, HACCP and SQF Level 2 certifications as well as a 72,000-square-foot-warehouse in Bristol that support its Go-Mex, Savory Balance, Los Frescos and Mi Ranchito brands and private label production and packaging business.

The company has retained investment bankers Heritage Equity Partners to explore capital generation strategies.
