Van Winter Joins Toray Board; Roy Promoted
North Kingstown, RI — Scott Van Winter has joined the board of directors of Toray Plastics America, Inc. Van Winter is Senior Vice-President and General Manager of the company’s Lumirror Division. In addition, Christopher Roy is now Vice-President and General Manager of its Torayfan Division.
President and CEO Mike Brandmeier says: “Scott and Chris are strong, dedicated leaders with nearly five decades of plastic films experience between them. They deserve this recognition, and I look forward to working with them as we move on to the next leg of Toray’s journey.”
With 26 years’ experience in the plastics industry at Alcoa Kama Co., Van Winter joined the company in 2004 as director of industrial sales and served as director of sales and marketing before becoming director and general manager of the Lumirror Division and, later, its senior vice-president.
In addition to serving as general manager of the Torayfan Div., Roy was senior director of sales and marketing, director of sales and marketing and director of national sales for the division. Roy previously was a vice-president at Mid-America Plastics, Inc. and worked at EDS in finance.
