Philadelphia — Goldenberg’s Peanut Chews has contributed $10,000 from its May sales and in-store promotions to support programs and services of the United Service Organizations (USO), the company reports.
The presentation was made at the July 7 Philadelphia Soul football game. In addition, 100 tickets to the game were donated to military personnel and their families.
“We are very grateful for the opportunity to support our military heroes through this donation to the USO,” Bob Zender, Goldenberg’s Peanut Chews marketing manager says. “We’re proud to have been developed as a rations bar to help feed the GIs during World War I, and our service men and women still deserve the gratitude of our nation today.”
