Mobile App Tests New Products On The Shelf

Los Angeles — Instant.ly Survey Tool, a downloadable mobile app that provides on-demand feedback on products from consumers as they shop, has launched from United Sample Inc. (uSamp).

According to the company, the tool can test brand awareness and shopper impression, price points and special offers, side-by-side comparison and intent to buy and assess the impact of marketing messages in real time based on customized retailer-designed surveys.  In addition, shelf-set comparisons, competitive item barcode scanning and video diary capabilities are available.

Users design questionnaires using one of 900 product category templates and an easy-to-use menu of question types as well as the capability to add images and video. The survey can be sent to shoppers’ mobile and online devices, and can target specific locations or shopper demographics. Completed surveys allow real-time data analysis and charting, graphic interpretation, sharing with colleagues and export. USamp claims most tests can be set up in less than three minutes and deliver purchase intent scores for every test.
