Calbee Adds Lentil Snaps, Introduces Brand Portfolio

Fairfield, CA — Calbee North America is introducing the brand portfolio Harvest Snaps for its Snapea Crisps and new Lentil Snaps. The company is also rolling out two new flavors of Snapea Crisps.
Made from whole sun-dried peas, Snapea Crips come in Lightly Salted, Caesar and new Black pepper and Wasabi Ranch flavors. They come in 3.3-ounce packs carrying a SRP range of $1.79 to $1.99 and ship in display-ready cases.
A completely new product, Lentil Snaps come in Tomato Basil and Onion Thyme. The three-ounce items also carry a SRP range of $1.79 to $1.99.
The company is also launching a back-to-school marketing effort in which it will participate in “The Balancing Act” morning talk show for women that will air on the Lifetime network in August.
“The 'Balancing Act' is dedicated to [developing] trusted solutions for women facing today’s greatest challenges,” Steve Kneepkens, vice-president, sales and marketing tells Candy & Snack TODAY. “We feel that participating in the show will not only help us reach women, but also provide women with a healthier snacking option for themselves and their families.”
