Expo Attendees Win iPads

Washington — The NCA has awarded three Expo attendees iPads for their participation in various events at the Sweets & Snacks Expo, held in Chicago in May.
Brian Smith, Nash Finch Co. category manager, won for voting for the Most Innovative New Product Awards, which went to three winners in eight categories. Tiffany Anderson, a buyer for Mystic Sweets & Ice Cream Shoppe was awarded for attending a Shopper Solutions Theater session, a new Expo program that attracted standing-room-only crowds. John Shocklee, Dierbergs Market category manager won the Early Bird Registration drawing.
All registered participants of the aforementioned events were randomly entered into a drawing for a chance to win an iPad.
The 2013 Expo boasted a 10 percent increase in overall Expo registration and a 17 percent uptick in exhibitor registration. With more than 15,000 attendees, “it is apparent the event provides vital tools, insights, innovations and resources that the industry values,” NCA President Larry Graham says.
The 2014 Sweets & Snacks Expo will be held at Chicago’s McCormick Place from May 20 to 22. Although the show floor will be larger, the NCA says booth space is already 85 percent sold out.
