Cargill Restructures European Cocoa Sales Team

Schiphol, Netherlands — Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate’s European customers can now purchase the company’s full line through one sales representative as part of the company's new sales organization structure, according to Sales and Marketing Director Emiel van Dijk.
Under the new framework, sales team members specialize in serving a particular territory with Cargill’s complete range of products, rather than focusing on distributing one product in various regions. The regional set-up allows Cargill to deliver a quicker market-oriented response, flexibility and an individual focus on customer support, van Dijk says.
“We have prepared the organization for a smooth transition, paying particular attention to making the changes for you as minimal as possible,” he wrote in a letter to customers. “Training sessions for our sales people, comprehensive knowledge transfer and the development of corresponding product line management have made the organization fit for the change.”
