IRI Appoints CPG Industry Vet To Chairman Of Board

Chicago — Information Resources, Inc. has appointed former chairman, president and CEO of The Hershey Co. Richard Lenny as chairman of its board of directors, succeeding Lawrence Benjamin. Prior to Lenny’s tenure at Hershey, he served as president of Nabisco Biscuit Co. and president of Pillsbury North America. He also spent 18 years at Kraft Foods Inc. in sales and marketing and was chairman of the board for the Grocery Manufacturers Association, which awarded him a Hall of Achievement award in 2008. He currently sits on the board of directors at McDonald’s Corp., Discover Financial Services and ConAgra Foods, Inc. IRI President and CEO Andrew Appel says: “Rick’s experience with the client side of our business and resounding track record of leadership success will provide unique perspective to help us accomplish our most critical objectives and exceed our clients’ expectations.” Lenny adds: “For more than 30 years, IRI has enabled its clients to win in the marketplace by developing and delivering superior insights and truly innovative capabilities.
