New DuPont Protein Nugget Is Plant-Based

St. Louis — DuPont Nutrition & Health is revealing Supro Nugget 138, a high-fiber plant-based protein made from soy that can be used in nutrition bars, clusters, granola or trail mix to provide an added crunch, the company claims. DuPont Specialty Business Director, Protein Solutions Kip Underwood says: “Consumer demand for convenient, portable and healthy snacks is driving growth in the nutrition bar market. But whether consumers are focused on general health, weight management or meal replacement, the widespread appeal of protein and fiber and their ability to deliver a feeling of satiety can be critical to the success of a snack product. SUPRO Nugget 138 makes it easier to provide a healthy and satisfying combination of protein and fiber along with an appealing crunch.” In addition, DuPont reports Supro Nugget 138 remains crisp over time and has significant economic and sustainability advantages compared to dairy protein.
