Meriden, CT — In an effort to revive its image, Thompson Brands, LLC has launched three new websites to represent the company and its two brands, Thompson Chocolate and Adora Calcium.
The Thompson Chocolate website, thompsonchocolate.com, features eleven pages for each category of the company’s foil-wrapped chocolates — Americana, Autumn, Chanukah, Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Just for Fun, New Baby, Sports, St. Patrick’s Day and Valentine’s Day. The site is branded with the same brown and white polka dot print that is on product packs that the company introduced at this past year’s Sweets & Snacks Expo.
“Distribution of our classic foil-wrapped chocolate novelties has increased significantly with the introduction of Thompson's fashion-forward, brown & white polka dotted packaging,” CEO Gene Dunkin tells Candy & Snack TODAY. “Already, we have seen an uptick in sales inquiries coming through the new website — and we're thrilled with the leads that are being generated.”
Dunkin says the company’s analytics show the average site visit duration has increased 41 percent and there's been a 140 percent increase in mobile traffic since the launch. Visitors are staying longer and clicking more pages with a lower bounce rate, he adds.
“We needed a new consumer and partner-facing website to effectively communicate all the exciting new products, packaging and capabilities at Thompson. The site is focused on strengthening the Thompson Chocolate brand through vibrant images that showcase our heritage and what we do best — from beautiful, intricately foil-wrapped novelties to gift ideas for any occasion,” Dunkin explains.
