New Lay’s Flavor, Pack Design Launch

Plano, TX — In celebration of National Garlic Day April 19, PepsiCo Frito-Lay is debuting Roasted Garlic & Sea Salt Lay’s Wavy potato chips. PepsiCo is also launching the first Lay’s package redesign in the brand’s 20-year history to “offer a more modern look and feel, with vibrant colors and a font that exudes the brand's approachable and playful personality to better appeal to its target female consumer.”

The company says the fact the average adult consumes 2.3 pounds of garlic each year was the inspiration behind the new flavor. The product carries a SRP of $4.29 and comes in 9.5-ounce bags. Single-serve sizes will be available for a limited time.
