GMA Launches Facts Up Front Web Tools

Washington — The Grocery Manufacturers Association has developed nutrition calculators, interactive label tools, a nutrition quiz, shopping and meal planning tips and recipes on the website as a supplement to its Facts Up Front labeling program.

There is also a section of the website for health professionals that provides downloadable tools and resources for educating consumers, patients and clients. For example, registered dietitians can plan a supermarket tour or access research behind the Facts Up Front program.

Facts Up Front was developed in 2011 by GMA and the Food Marketing Institute and asks participating CPG manufacturers to print calories, saturated fat, sugar and sodium per serving icons on the front of all product packs.
