Hershey, PA — The Hershey Co. has announced several changes to its executive line-up, effective May 13, in what the company claims is an effort to broaden the leadership team and enhance international growth.
Humberto P. Alfonso has been promoted from CFO and chief administrative officer to international president. “Alfonso has extensive international experience and will drive business growth for all Hershey businesses outside the U.S. and Canada,” the company reports.
Former Chief Accounting Officer David W. Tacka is now senior vice-president and CFO. Hershey claims his extensive financial experience will help facilitate international growth.
The new President of Hershey North America is Michele G. Buck, former chief growth officer. She brings a strategic focus and vast consumer experience to the executive team, according to Hershey.
E. Daniel Vucovich, former leader of Hershey’s U.S. business, is the new senior vice-president and chief commercial officer. “Vucovich’s go-to-market experience and expertise will assist in the global growth of Hershey's iconic brands,” Hershey reports.
Waheed Zaman has joined the company as senior vice-president, chief administrative officer. He will be responsible for optimizing the company's information technology and global shared services functions for global expansion.
Formerly Chief Commercial Officer, D. Michael Wege, will become senior vice-president, chief growth and marketing officer, leading Hershey’s strategic planning, research and development, innovation and “the global Hershey experience,” the company reports.
