Lincolnshire, IL — The American Association of Candy Technologists (AACT) has awarded Caitlin Hubbard, a senior at the University of Wisconsin who has served as a global innovation intern at the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co., its 2013-2014 $5,000 John Kitt Memorial Scholarship.
During her time at Wrigley, Hubbard researched the effects that emulsifiers have on fruit-flavored gums. She will return to the company this summer to work on other projects, AACT reports.
She is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, for which she is the archivist and historian, and is active in the University of Wisconsin Food Science Club.
