Louis Pagano Dies

Forest Park, IL — Louis Pagano, a partner in the former Ferrara Pan Candy Co., Inc. and member of the company’s founding family, has died.

A 1994 Candy Hall of Fame inductee, Pagano’s sons, Tom and Barry, and grandson, Louis Pagano II, continue to work at Ferrara Candy Co. His nephew, Sal Ferrara, is Chairman and CEO.

The firm said in a statement: “It is with much sadness we announce the passing of Mr. Louis Pagano Sr. Louis was a beloved partner of Ferrara Pan, which was founded in 1908 by the members of Ferrara, Buffardi and Pagano families. Our prayers and thoughts go out to the Pagano family.”

A visitation will be held Monday, June 17, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Adolf Funeral Home & Cremation Services Ltd. in Willowbrook, IL. A funeral service is scheduled for the following day at Ascension Catholic Church in Oakbrook Terrace, IL, with a viewing beginning at 9:30 and mass at 10 a.m.
