Battle Creek, MI — The Kellogg Co. is rolling out new Cheez-It, Kashi, Keebler, Pringles, Town House, Special K and Nutri-Grain items in an effort to capitalize on increased snacking among consumers, the company reports.
“Snacking is an important part of peoples’ diets and consumers are constantly seeking new options,” President of Kellogg U.S. Snacks Brian Huff says. “We continue to respond with flavors, ingredients and entirely new foods to meet this demand for snacking alternatives.”
New Cheez-It Zingz crackers in Chipotle Cheddar and Queso Fundido flavors feature corn masa “for a bold crunch,” according to the company. Fiery Sweet Barbeque Pringles are also new.
Also debuting are Town House pita crackers in Mediterranean Herb and sea salt varieties. Kellogg says these chips were designed to dip without breaking.
Kashi all-natural hummus crisps made with chickpeas, whole grains, spices and herbs are launching in Sea Salt & Olive Oil, Caramelized Onion and Sundried Tomato Basil-Feta.
Kellogg is rolling out a new flavor of its Special K Cracker Chips, Chipotle Lime.
In order to meet consumers' desire for simpler foods, the company claims, it is offering new Keebler Simply Made cookies with wheat flour, butter, eggs, sugar and vanilla in chocolate chips and butter flavors.
Special K Cookies & Crème Pastry Crisps and chocolate-covered strawberry cereal bars are also being introduced. In addition, Nutri-Grain bars now come in chocolate chip and toffee flavors, while Strawberry Greek Yogurt Cereal Bars have been added to the Nutri-Grain portfolio. Kashi’s new Berry Lemonade Chewy Bars feature chia for ALA Omega 3s and cranberries and lemons, Kellogg reports.
