Washington — The NCA is seeking nominations for its 2014 Confectionery Leadership Awards (CLA) for trade customers who demonstrate exceptional leadership in advancing the confectionery category.
Recipients of the award must exemplify breakthrough thinking, deliver category growth, leverage the overall retail profit potential of confectionery and drive best practices through category promotion, innovative merchandising and manufacturer collaboration. Award winners must also exhibit strong potential for growth and act as a role model for other retailers and wholesalers.
“This award program was designed to acknowledge those trade customers who serve as role models for other retailers and wholesalers,” says NCA President Larry Graham. “It recognizes individuals who use their experience to encourage visionary thinking and to drive the entire confectionery category forward.”
CLA recipients will be recognized at a special ceremony at the March State of the Industry Conference in Miami March 2 to 5, where they will be presented with an engraved crystal bowl. Industry members can submit nominations at the NCA’s website, candyusa.com, through Oct. 4.
