Hackettstown, NJ — Record-breaking Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte swam across the Hudson River yesterday to deliver Mars, Inc.’s Pizzeria Pretzel Combos to awaiting fans at the Midtown Ferry Terminal.

Carrying a Combo’s branded waterproof backpack full of the snacks, Lochte jumped from a moving boat and swam approximately 100 yards to his destination in what Mars is calling “one of the most epic pizza deliveries in world history.”

Now through Sept. 30 Mars is asking Combos fans to post videos showcasing “their epic ideas for eating new 7 Layer Dip Tortilla Combos” on the brand's Facebook site. YouTube filmmakers Sam Macaroni and Alex Farnham will help the company select two concepts it will feature in a video advertisement and share their own Combos videos weekly. To promote the initiative, Mars is asking fans to use the Twitter hashtag #epiccombo.
