Arlington, VA — Former President and CEO of the Snack Food Association (SFA), Jim McCarthy, has been named President and CEO of the North American Millers’ Association (NAMA) after 22 years of service at the SFA.
NAMA Chairman Jim Meyer says: “Jim’s leadership and association management skills will be a valuable asset to NAMA and the future of our association. He joins an experienced and dynamic staff that will make a very strong team to address our issues today and for the future. He is bringing new energy to the association.
McCarthy succeeds Mary Waters and will officially join the NAMA team in early October. Beginning his career at SFA in 1991 as vice president of government relations, he was named president and CEO in 1999.
“I am looking forward to working with the NAMA Board and members to chart a new course for the association’s future,” McCarthy says. “I have worked with NAMA’s excellent staff on a number of occasions and I am eager to join the team and learn more about the industry.”
