Seattle — Milk chocolate Agave Quinoa Sesame and dark chocolate Jingle Berry bars are being introduced by Seattle Chocolate Co. under its jcoco line.
Agave Quinoa Sesame bars are made with Vanuatu milk chocolate and features sesame, puffed quinoa and infused with agave to provide a crunchy texture, Seattle Chocolate reports. Available only through December, Jingle Berry bars have toasted pine nuts and goji berries. Packs for the seasonal bar feature black and white winter images on a red box.
The company is debuting the two chocolate bars during an event tonight, Sept. 26, which will also signal the start of its 24-hour jcoco gives fundraiser in support of fighting hunger. For every bar purchased, a serving of fresh food is donated to charity.
Jean Thompson, Seattle Chocolate owner and CEO, says that to date the company has donated more than 63,000 servings of fresh food to Americans in need. “We love the taste of chocolate, and the exploration of new flavors for our bars,” she says, continuing: “But for us, what's most important is the way chocolate, and food in general connects one person to another. Connecting to the community around us is at the core of our brand.”
With a SRP of $8 for three one-ounce bars, or $2.50 for a single one-ounce bar, jcoco bars ship in 12-ct displays.
