St. Louis — Jeff Tillery has been appointed vice-president of sales and business development for Bissinger’s Handcrafted Chocolatier.
With more than 25 years’ experience in retail and wholesale management segments, he will focus on wholesale channel growth and building new profit sectors. Tillery says he will do so by making good communications, timely catalogs and strategic selling programs his top priorities.
The company reports its wholesale business is up 52 percent compared with the same period the year prior.
Bissinger’s President and CEO Tim Fogerty says: “Our wholesale business continues to see robust growth and this position is key to continued success. Most importantly, he (Tillery) shares our commitment to high standards and passion to provide confections focusing on social and environmental sustainability.”
Tillery most recently served as vice-president for Dynamic Confections, Inc. He also worked as a broker for 10 years in the specialty retail industry.
In addition to the new appointment, Bissinger’s recently began work on a new production and office facility, which will triple its current capacity. The company reports it will consolidate its two main facilities beginning in January with its Iowa City location, followed by the relocation from its St. Louis facility in May.
