Hershey, PA — The Hershey Co. has donated $100,000 to the Wounded Warrior Projects and has committed to hiring veterans through the Believe in Heroes campaigns.

The company is supporting the program with its Semi-Sweet Baking Chips through “Help Us Honor Our Heroes” callouts featuring QR codes that lead to the charity's website that accepts donations.

In addition, Hershey is expanding its veteran hiring initiatives to meet demand developed by aggressive growth for highly skilled employees, as well as supporting service members reentering civilian life, which the company reports will include some one million veterans.

To date, Hershey has more than 500 veterans as employees and more than 300 members of its Veterans Business Resource Group, which supports transitioning veterans, educates its employees on the skills and experiences of veterans and builds a network for service members in the company and their communities.
