Plymouth, MN — The LX900 inkjet label printer can run 4.5 labels per second with color droplet sizes of four picoliter (pL) and 5.5 pL for black and resolution up to 4800 dots per inch, according to supplier Primera Technology, Inc.
The company reports the short-run desktop printer can run full-color box-end labels with all the required bar codes and is suitable for private label products, test marketing, pre-press proofing and retail labeling. The machine has a print width of 0.75 x 8.25 and there are hundreds of stock size available.
The LX900 uses separate cartridges for cyan, magenta, yellow and black, which helps lower costs as only one color at a time needs to be replaced, according to Primera. The company says the cartridges are available through a number of online retailers.
