Dresden — Packaging systems manufacturer Theegarten-Pactec will break ground in 2014 on a $40.3 million, 538,000-square-foot expansion of its office and production facility, the company reports.
Managing Director Markus Rustler explains: “The additional floor space is a fundamental resource in terms of our long-term objectives. Not only do the premises provide us with more space, they are also optimally tailored to our production program.”
According to Rustler, the multiphase design-build project will expand capacity by an estimated 15 percent, facilitating Theegarten-Pactec’s conversion from producing large individual packaging systems to small-series units incorporating complete automated feeding and distribution lines. Administrative space also will increase to accommodate additional staff.
Completion is expected by mid-2017, the company reports.
