Karlshamn, Sweden — Three have been appointed to new positions at AarhusKarlshamn AB (AAK), which is also looking to legally change its name to AAK, the company reports.
Torben Friis Lange, currently president Asia, Europe and Africa, will head up a new Asian division, while Jens Wikstedt, who joins the company from Schneider Electric, will lead European division, which is being established.
Becoming CFO is Fredrik Nilsson, current director, group controlling and investor relations. He is succeeding Peter Korsholm, who will continue working with AAK on special projects.
In addition, the company says it is looking to change its name to AAK, which is subject to approval during the annual general meeting this May, to underscore that the merger between Aarhus United A/S and Karlshamns AB is complete.
Finally, the AAK says it is launching a new company program, AAK Acceleration, to put additional focus on sales, innovation and execution as a means for growth. This initiative will include key strategic directions including more focus on semi-specialty and specialty products, strong focus on organic growth, expansion in growth markets and customer co-development.
Further, the company is consolidating its European sales into one organization because of the continent’s needs for dedicated management and partly different strategies, AAK reports.
