New York — Selected by 40,000 consumers, Starburst Fruit-Flavored Candy Corn, from Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co., and Nestlé USA, Inc.’s Skinny Cow Divine Filled Chocolates were honored with Most Innovative Consumer Products of 2014 awards, according to presenter Product of the Year USA (POY).
Companies with winning products were recognized at an awards ceremony held in New York on February 6 and a celebratory dinner on February 11, the organization reports.
Mike Nolan, Global CEO of POY, says: “With so many new products flooding the marketplace each year, an advocate who can distinguish those that feature truly superior innovation is more important than ever before. The goal of the Product of the Year award is to help consumers make informed decisions, while also encouraging brands to consistently push boundaries in order to be recognized.”
The organization notes that its distinctive red seal can increase sales of an item by 10 to 15 percent.
