Plano, TX — Frito-Lay North America, Inc. introduces Rold Gold Pretzel Thins: flat, crackerlike pretzels designed for layering, dipping or eating unadorned.
According to Vice-President of Marketing Ram Krishnan: “We’re encouraging consumers to break happy by engaging, participating and snacking with us. Our goal is to bring a little more happiness into the day, one break at a time.”
Synchronized with the release of the snack is the debut of “House of Gold,” an online miniseries on Frito-Lay’s Facebook site modeled after television reality shows that follows the exploits of the Gold sisters: three Pretzel Thins who have moved into a mansion after developing a successful dating app. Krishnan points to a recent survey indicating millennials are the heaviest users of all types of video content, and are likely to spend their downtime at work accessing social content.
Available in original, Garlic Parmesan and Three Cheese varieties, the 8.25-ounce bags carry a $3.29 SRP and pack in 15-ct cases.
