Campaign Touts Peanuts’ Power

Atlanta — The National Peanut Board is launching a branding campaign leveraging the peanut’s position as a plant-based nutrition source, titled “The Perfectly Powerful Peanut.”

Ads by agency Lawler Ballard Van Durand feature a hand-drawn botanical illustration with images of peanut farmers and others superimposed.

Board Chairman John Harrell explains: “Our goal is to raise the association consumers have for peanuts and peanut butter with nutrition and health. At seven grams of plant-based protein, peanuts have more protein than any other nut, as well as more than 30 vitamins and minerals, and they offer heart health.”
