The U.S. confectionery industry supports responsible marketing where children are concerned. NCA supports this effort and has developed a set of voluntary principles on marketing to children. Additionally, the majority of NCA’s members who advertise on television, including Ferrero, Hershey, M&M/Mars, Mondelēz and Nestlé, adhere to the voluntary commitments on marketing to children of the Council of Better Business Bureau’s Children’s Food and Beverage Advertising Initiative. Additional confectionery companies are members of the BBB's Children’s Advertising Review Unit. Membership in these BBB programs provides transparency, credibility and monitoring of marketing practices related to children.
