Sugar - NCA supports reform of the sugar program as part of the 2012 farm bill to put an end to tight sugar supplies, high sugar prices, plant closures, job losses, and unnecessary and wasteful government intrusion on domestic sugar production.
Trade - The U.S. currently has free trade agreements with 20 nations, which open markets through the elimination of tariff and non-tariff barriers. These agreements allow for U.S. exports from both large and small confectionery companies and allow them to compete globally.
Labeling - FDA regulates the labeling of the majority of food and beverages in the Unites States, and NCA is dedicated to ensuring that the confectionery industry is aware of all industry labeling requirements.
