The history of Enstrom Candies, Inc., dates back to 1919, when Chester K. “Chet” Enstrom began learning the art of candy making at 17 years of age. By 1960, his almond toffee, made with all-natural ingredients, had begun to develop a reputation. At the urging of those who had tasted his toffee, Chet founded Enstrom Candies. He and his wife, Vernie, planned to make their new Candy Kitchen — based in Grand Junction, Colorado — a mom-and-pop operation, but the orders kept flooding in. By 1965, Enstrom was shipping worldwide.
Four generations and more than 50 years later, Enstrom Candies remains a family business, employing 130 people and uses the same handmade recipe that Chet perfected. Its world famous Almond Toffee is an all-natural, Kosher dairy product made from the finest sweet cream butter and pure cane sugar, and covered in a generous layer of rich chocolate.
Enstrom’s wholesale products are packaged perfectly for shelving displays in petites, bars and singles — sizes sure to appeal to on-the-go toffee lovers. The company also has five retail locations across Colorado and a boutique mail-order operation.
