Washington — Made with cocoa sourced from West African island São Tomé, Divine Chocolate Ltd. is releasing its first collection of organic chocolate bars.
The 85% dark chocolates are vegan, USDA certified organic, Non-GMO Project verified and made without palm oil, soy or artificial flavors, according to the candymaker.
Varieties in the organic line include Refreshing Lemon, turmeric and ginger, blueberry and popped quinoa and cocoa nibs.
“Organic sales are growing, and we have responded to chocolate lovers who say they are actively looking for organic ingredients and higher cocoa content,” says Liz Miller, senior marketing manager. “We’ve sourced exceptional organic and Fairtrade cocoa from a flourishing co-operative of farmers in São Tomé, and we’re excited to partner with them to produce this delicious line while remaining true to our mission.”
The 2.8-ounce bars have a SRP of $4.50 and ship six 12-ct boxes per case.
