Ferrero Releases Products In Time For Kinder Joy’s Second Birthday


Chicago —  Ferrero U.S.A. Inc. debut Ferrero Golden boxed chocolate assortments, Tic Tac X-Freeze and Kinder Bueno during the Sweets & Snacks Expo.

The products hit shelves nationwide beginning in September and include Ferrero Golden Gallery Signature boxed chocolates, Tic Tac X-Freeze and Kinder Bueno.

Ferrero Golden Gallery Signature 12-piece boxed assortments with six different chocolate varieties and a SRP of $6.29, and 24-piece boxed assortment with eight varieties and a SRP of $12.46 are new. The varieties are: Hazelnut Duo, Biancoretti, Giandujot Ferrero, Coffee Maestria, Milk Cupola, White Opera, Dark Opera and Caramel Leonardo. The chocolates are made in Europe but are exclusive to the U.S.

“We want to build a new ritual around chocolate eating,” says Shalini Stansberry, marketing director premium chocolates. “We want consumers to take their time and savor it when they are eating.”

Tic Tac X-Freeze are sugarfree mints with cooling crystals 50 percent larger than original Tic Tac mints, available in 65- and 30-piece packs. It is the first sugarfree mint in the U.S. for Tic Tac and comes in two flavors: Strong Mint and Wintermint.

Kinder Bueno, a milk chocolate bar with crispy wafers and hazelnut filling, makes its debut at the Expo and to the U.S. market in November with two sizes: regular with a SRP of $1.29 and a share size with a SRP of $1.99. Noah Szporn, vice-president of marketing Kinder North America, says the target group for the product is millennial adults.
