The United States enjoys the safest, most abundant and affordable food supply in the world. Our food is safe in large part because of the effective partnerships that exist between the food industry and the government agencies with responsibility for food safety, including the Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Environmental Protection Agency, and state and local health agencies. NCA believes that food safety policy should be based on sound science and careful research; and that everyone who handles food, from producer to consumer, must be educated about their roles in helping to ensure a safe food supply.
The National Confectioners Association is dedicated to helping businesses of all sizes comply with FDA regulations and has resources for our members. The FAQ is a great resource with information on labeling, recalls and more. The food safety resources page has a wide variety of sample HACCP plans, best practice documents and other sample documentation. Lastly, our webinar series is catered towards smaller and medium sized members who are looking for information on food safety, the Food Safety Modernization Act, and peer-to-peer interaction.
