Washington — Despite adding a new hall to accommodate its growth, the 2016 Sweets & Snacks Expo is sold out and a waiting list has been started, NCA reports.
With more than 720 companies exhibiting on nearly four acres, this year’s show will set an all-time record for volume of confectionery and snack products, according to the Association. More than 16,000 industry professional will be in attendance from nearly 90 countries.
In addition to exhibitors, the new Skyline Hall will house an expanded Innovation Avenue, a second knowledge center featuring presentations on snacking, and the latest in specialty, consumer and shopping trends. The hall will also host the Most Innovative New Product Awards showcase and ceremony.
“Each year, the show continues to evolve and shatter existing records,” says Expo Chairman Barry Rosenbaum, president of Nassau Candy Distributors, Inc. “Candy, cookies and snacks are a $438 billion industry worldwide and the Expo has become the proven destination for category professionals to gain the best access to the products, people and insights needed to grow their businesses.”
The 2016 Sweets & Snacks Expo is running May 24 to 26 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. More show details and attendee registration materials are available at sweetsandsnacks.com.
