La Porte, IN — Starting this month and running into July, Sour Punch is hitting the road to promote the chewy candy brand with the “Embrace Your Punch” tour, which will travel to nine major U.S. cities.
For the tour, American Licorice reports it developed a one-of-its-kind line of Sour Punch Twists that will feature flavors including blue raspberry, green apple and strawberry.
As part of the promotion, the candymaker is teaming with U.S. Olympic long jumper Norris Frederick, according to Kristi Shafer, vice-president of marketing for Sour Punch.
“We all have a responsibility to make this world a better place, and at our company we continue looking for ways to have a positive impact on our employees, our communities and the environment,” Shafer says. “This year, we’re embarking on a project with a local club in our community and professional athlete Norris Frederick to deliver a more important, longer-lasting smile through a message of self-love and appreciation of others. Our goal is to not only deliver smiles with delicious treats, but more importantly a sweeter message from the heart, Embrace Your Punch.”
The event will include an elaborate Sour Punch themed-exhibit, with a unique centerpiece designed for brand ambassadors to distribute product samples and promotional items from, according to the company.
The Embrace Your Punch tour will open up on May 18, at the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, AL, and conclude on July 18 at Chicago’s Tribune Plaza. For a complete list of stops and details on other events, visit sourpunch.com/events.
