Lufkin, TX — In an effort to help those impacted by the devastating floods in its home state of Texas, Atkinson Candy Co. is donating 100 percent of the revenue generated by sales on its website — www.atkinsoncandy.com — this Friday, September 1, to Hurricane Harvey relief funds.

“We are Texas proud and Texas strong,” says company President Eric Atkinson. “It is important that we come together and help our neighbors during this difficult time.”

Atkinson goes on to note the company’s facility, located north of Houston, which has been hardest hit by the storm, was not affected. “So many people in East Texas have lost everything. We want to help those people in any way we can and we urge others to do the same.”

According to the company, proceeds will be donated to the Houston Red Cross and Houston SPCA to help people and pets displaced by the storm and subsequent flooding. CST
