Nashville, TN — Ford Gum & Machine Co., Inc. has forged a partnership with National Pro Fastpitch (NFP), an organization that provides elite female athletes with the opportunity to pursue careers in fastpitch softball, to promote the company’s Big League Chew brand. The collaboration is specifically in support of Ford Gum’s recently launched packaging featuring an image of a female softball character.
Set to begin with the 2019 fastpitch softball season, the company says fans can expect to see in-game and collaborative promotions immediately in individual team markets, as well as during the upcoming NFP College Draft.
The Big League Chew packaging featuring the female character is currently available online now and will be in stores by late spring, according to the company.
“This year we’re celebrating the launch of our new softball character that’s inspired by girls who play hard and dream big and what better way to do so than by teaming up with National Pro Fastpitch whose athletes epitomize just that.” says former major league pitcher and Big League Chew inventor Rob Nelson. “Big League Chew is bubble gum fun for everyone and we can’t wait to see the teams, players and fans of NFP sharing in that fun with us this season.”
“This is a natural partnership and the timing is perfect,” notes League Commissioner Cheri Kempf. “We are enthusiastic about helping to grow the Big League Chew brand, and to expose their respect and attention to the female athlete, to our global consumer base.”
The NFP season Opening Day takes place May 28. C&ST
