Callebaut CFO To Retire, Steenbergen Named Successor


Zurich, Switzerland — Victor Balli will step down as CFO for Barry Callebaut AG after 11 years with the chocolate supplier. He will be succeeded by Remco Steenbergen, who will join the company’s executive committee as well as taking on CFO responsibilities on March 1.

Previously, Steenbergen worked at Koninklijke Philips N.V. (DBA Royal Philips), where he served as an executive vice-president and CFO of HealthTech Businesses, Innovation & Group Functions, according to Callebaut. He started his career with KPMG International Cooperative, where he served in a number of roles located in The Netherlands, UK and Taiwan.

Callebaut CEO Antoine de Saint-Affrique says: “We owe a lot to Victor Balli whom I will miss as a trusted sparring partner, a respected colleague and a strong CFO.
